RockRose puts a great deal of emphasis on operating responsibly when it comes to our environmental impact. We constantly strive to surpass industry standards, therefore we continually review our environmental policies to ensure that we are doing all that we can to protect the environments in which we operate. With the acquisition of Marathon Oil UK, RockRose assumed operatorship of the Brae Complex in the North Sea. The Company will endeavour to maintain and, where necessary, improve the policies and procedures that Marathon has implemented.
Operating and maintaining offshore oil and gas operations brings with it a potential to have negative impacts on the environment, unless carefully managed. We manage our activities extremely vigilantly and have systems in place to negate any possible impacts that our activities may have on the environment.
We also recognise that there is a need to balance the provision of reliable, affordable energy and the impacts imposed on the environment by our operations. We strive to obtain the best possible balance, as the protection of the environment and compliance with all applicable legal and internal requirements, as well as industry best practice, are critical to the overall and long-term success of RockRose Energy.
